Christian Formation
We have several Sunday worship services from which to choose, each with a different feel and tempo. For spiritual growth, we offer a coordinated Christian Formation program for all ages. In addition to Sunday programs, the Church of the Good Shepherd also offers several weekday services and classes, to meet a variety of schedules and interests. There are many ways for people to share in the mission and ministries of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
The Church of the Good Shepherd offers several opportunities to learn about our spiritual heritage, hear and appropriate God’s word, and discuss and ponder the things of God among friends.
Adult Sunday School - 2026
Living Word
Led by Rev. Milton Black in the Parlor
This is a discussion-based class utilizing the scripture readings from each Sunday’s services. The day’s scriptures will guide us as we learn from one another and better understand God’s Word.
Enneagram Basics + Parenting
Led by Rev. William Campbell and Claire Campbell

Ever feel like your kids are from a different planet? Or like you and your spouse keep hitting the same wall when “life stuff” comes up? Join us as we get into the basics of the Enneagram, an ancient personality type system (think: Myers-Briggs for our generation) that can be used to help you see things through the eyes of the people you love. Our anchor text, The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self-Discovery, is co-written by a world-renown Enneagram expert and Methodist preacher’s wife, Suzanne Stabile, and an Episcopal priest, Ian Morgan Cron. We’ll also use podcast episodes by our favorite leading Christian children’s counselors Sissy Goff and David Thomas to guide our journey. You can come to all 8 classes this fall or dip in and out if you’re traveling. We hope to see you in DHAC!

The Church after 1500 was challenged by corruption, national power struggles, and confusion over the Gospel message. She fractured all over Europe. Seeking for right doctrine led to endless dispute and bloody war but birthed deep spiritual insight and opened new possibilities for worldwide missionary effort and freedom for the church. This mission of Jesus gave birth to the modern world, with new possibilities and with questions we still struggle to answer. Where is that history and God’s Spirit leading us today?
