Pastoral Counseling

Pastoral Counseling at the Church of the Good Shepherd is primarily provided by our Clergy. Our Clergy are trained and prepared to be patient in listening, wise in counsel, measured in words, covering all with love and compassion. There may be many reasons why one may seek the advice of a priest. Some may be experiencing grief due to the loss of a loved one; others may need conflict resolution, or marriage counseling. Some seek Godly wisdom while going through a divorce. The Church of the Good Shepherd offers corporate confession in the context of our Eucharist services. However, for those who feel like they need private confession, the sacrament of Confession is available to them through a private counseling session. For other significant events in our shared lives, such as Baptism, Confirmation, and Marriage, pastoral counseling serves as preparation for the sacramental event.

Whatever your situation, you are invited to make an appointment with either The Rev. Milton Black or The Rev. Philip May by calling the Church Office at 361-882-1735.
